My name is Ryan.. I've been interested in Libertarian politics since 2007 when Ron Paul ran as a Republican Canidate.   Since then, I believe the fairest form of government is the one that provides the most freedom. Freedom to fail, but nonetheless freedom.

During the day, I write software for a major transportation company, and at night I write software for anyone who wants to pay me.  Sometimes I do it for free for a worthy cause.

I'm a liberty leaning political independant who has lived in the Grand Rapids metro area my entire life. I grew up in a conservative household but have watched the Republican party slowly leave me; as they have abanadoned a commitment to constitutionally limited government I have left them. The 2016 election cememnted this for me - the coupel of issues that had me still supporting some republican were free trade and constitutional issues. But it's evident they have abandoned those principles. 

I'm excited to learn more about the LP and hope I can bring energy to the LP of West Michigan. 

I am fresh to the Western Michigan area and interested in spreading ideas that i believe in.  I enjoy heavy music, stimulating conversation, and as little federal government as possible.  I do not watch much TV, but if i do it is Columbo reruns or Game of Thrones.  I am excited about meeting like minded people near my new home.

I'm a Michigander as of 2013.  I'm married with three small children.  I am a veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan which has swayed me to become a Libertarian.  I look forward to meeting other like-minded liberty-loving people in West Michigan.
